Summer is here! & man, do I love Summer time. Bring on the beach, fish tacos, snow cones, and in my case all the stripes! My go-to Summer trend is always stripes. It never fails, it is just what I gravitate towards in the Summer. This dress totally fits my Summer criteria. It has the cutest stripes and drawstring waist, which makes it super flattering! It is the perfect dress to just throw on and it instantly looks cute, but without having to put in a lot of effort (insert the praise hands emoji!) plus, I love that it can be worn with sandals or wedges!
Hey Y’all! This weekend John and I went to the grand re-opening of the Francesca’s boutique at the Houston Premium Outlets and LETMETELLYA the store looks amazing! If you have followed our blog and instagram, then you probably have figured out Francesca’s is one of my favorite places to shop. They have super trendy and cute boutique clothes for a great price, as well as home décor/gifts! Here’s a recap of the event and I’ve also linked some of my Summer must-have’s.
This time every year I get into a major Spring cleaning frenzy. Even though the house has been cluttered all year, I always seem to pick Spring to just finally give in and want to clean out every nook and cranny of the house. This year though is a little bit different. Since January, I have been reading a ton about decluttering my life and how it goes beyond just your home. The past couple months I have started focusing on “Spring Cleaning” up my life and while it does take a conscious effort each day, I wanted to share some of the things that have worked for me lately.
Hey Y’all! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! John and I went to Lafayette, Louisiana for Easter this year to spend time with his Aunt and cousins. We were only there for a couple days, but we had the BEST time. Our weekend consisted of a crawfish boil, the coolest coffee shop ever, shopping, exploring the cutest little neighborhood ( totally wish I lived in one of these adorable homes!) & we finished the weekend with dinner, live music, and drinks at Sugar Fest where I wore this super cute, flowy dress from Madewell in Market Street – The Woodlands. It was my favorite outfit from the entire weekend, so you know I had to share!
Hey Y’all! Hope you all had a great weekend. I feel like John and I did ALL the things this weekend! (Anyone else have a crazy productive weekend?!) After cleaning, organizing, meal prepping, and shooting two new projects for the blog – we somehow even had time to swing into our new favorite store, Philanthropy, over in Market Street – The Woodlands. If you live in The Woods, you gotta go check it out!
I wanted to share some big, small, and random life updates with you guys to explain why we haven’t posted as much lately and what has been on our minds && the dress that makes me feel like Sandy from Grease!
This post is one I have had in the back of my mind for A LONG TIME. So, you have no idea how excited I am to finally be able to blog about it! First things first, the true talent here is Jessica from Makeup by Jessica Kirkland. She is a Houston-based Makeup Artist and man is she talented! Fun fact: I actually went to high school with her and hadn’t seen her in 10 years until she came to do my makeup! ( wow, I suddenly feel SUPER old.) Anyways, it was a blast to have my makeup done by her and she shared some super awesome makeup & beauty tips that I wanted to pass along to you guys!
I am a person who ALWAYS has a to-do list a mile long. I tend to run until I am so burnt out that I either get a cold or am so mentally and physically exhausted that I just stop everything! (Hence – the lack of posts in the last two weeks.) I completely over-extended myself and it caught up with me big time last week. It has taken me so long to realize this and it won’t be easy for me to implement, but I am working on giving myself permission to slow down!
There is no reason to feel guilty for taking care of yourself. We all need that time to decompress and relax! I am easing my way into this new lifestyle with more bubble baths and face masks that I picked up from Lush in Market Street – The Woodlands. (Seriously one of my favorite stores!) I tried some new things, that I am excited to share with y’all today!
Valentine’s Day is only a week away! In case you are a last minute shopper, like me, I wanted to share an affordable Valentine’s dress with you from Francesca’s. Get excited, it is on sale and under $25! (Don’t get better than that, my friends!)
With Valentine’s right around the corner, I teamed up with two of my blogging besties, Bridget from To Celebrate Everything blog and Kelsey from Kelsey Byers blog for Galentine’s to share our thoughts on friendship, Galentine’s ideas, and of course our cute dresses from Francesca’s! I may have gotten a little carried away with this post, so grab a snack and stick with me to the end for a super fun giveaway announcement!
