John and I planned a little weekend getaway to Fredericksburglast weekend and so I thought I would share in case you are looking for a place to go for a getaway also. We absolutely LOVED it there. Fredericksburg is such a cute town in the Hill Country of Texas that is known for it’s German heritage, cute shops, and amazing wineries!
One thing I love about The Woodlands/Houston is all of the events! There are always so many things going on. A couple weeks ago, was Wine & Food Week in The Woodlands, TX and H-E-B hosted a Wine Walk throughout Market Street! It was SO much fun and the perfect girl’s night. Not only was there a ton of food and wine, but even the stores had wine inside of them! (I could get used to that!)I had no idea, but apparently this is a yearly thing – so next year if you live this way, you should definitely check it out. I know I will be back for sure!
Summer is here! & man, do I love Summer time. Bring on the beach, fish tacos, snow cones, and in my case all the stripes! My go-to Summer trend is always stripes. It never fails, it is just what I gravitate towards in the Summer. This dress totally fits my Summer criteria. It has the cutest stripes and drawstring waist, which makes it super flattering! It is the perfect dress to just throw on and it instantly looks cute, but without having to put in a lot of effort (insert the praise hands emoji!) plus, I love that it can be worn with sandals or wedges!
I have no clue when, but at some point in my life I stopped eating ice pops. Those were a staple Summer treat growing up. Honestly, I loved those dang things and since it is already starting to heat up here in Texas, I thought I would put an adult spin on one of my favorite childhood treats. So, here ya have it Mimosa Ice Pops!
Hey Y’all! This weekend John and I went to the grand re-opening of the Francesca’s boutique at the Houston Premium Outlets and LETMETELLYA the store looks amazing! If you have followed our blog and instagram, then you probably have figured out Francesca’s is one of my favorite places to shop. They have super trendy and cute boutique clothes for a great price, as well as home décor/gifts! Here’s a recap of the event and I’ve also linked some of my Summer must-have’s.
This time every year I get into a major Spring cleaning frenzy. Even though the house has been cluttered all year, I always seem to pick Spring to just finally give in and want to clean out every nook and cranny of the house. This year though is a little bit different. Since January, I have been reading a ton about decluttering my life and how it goes beyond just your home. The past couple months I have started focusing on “Spring Cleaning” up my life and while it does take a conscious effort each day, I wanted to share some of the things that have worked for me lately.
Hey Y’all! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! John and I went to Lafayette, Louisiana for Easter this year to spend time with his Aunt and cousins. We were only there for a couple days, but we had the BEST time. Our weekend consisted of a crawfish boil, the coolest coffee shop ever, shopping, exploring the cutest little neighborhood ( totally wish I lived in one of these adorable homes!) & we finished the weekend with dinner, live music, and drinks at Sugar Fest where I wore this super cute, flowy dress from Madewell in Market Street – The Woodlands. It was my favorite outfit from the entire weekend, so you know I had to share!
I love decorating for Spring and Easter. Okay, who am I kidding – I love decorating for EVERY season haha! But, I especially love Easter!I try and keep my decorations minimal and clean looking. So, I choosewhite, cream, burlap, with hints of a pastel blue and of course a ton of bunnies! Here is a look at my Easter bunny tablescape.
Hey Y’all! Hope you all had a great weekend. I feel like John and I did ALL the things this weekend! (Anyone else have a crazy productive weekend?!) After cleaning, organizing, meal prepping, and shooting two new projects for the blog – we somehow even had time to swing into our new favorite store, Philanthropy, over in Market Street – The Woodlands. If you live in The Woods, you gotta go check it out!
I wanted to share some big, small, and random life updates with you guys to explain why we haven’t posted as much lately and what has been on our minds && the dress that makes me feel like Sandy from Grease!
